Saudi Aramco is a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise. It is the state-owned oil company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco is the world’s top exporter of crude oil and natural gas liquids.
Saudi Aramco needed a new demineralized water treatment system that would produce water quality suitable for make-up water of its boiler system. The facility is expected to remove dissolved salts out of the water stream, via a packed bed cation exchange vessel, degasifier, packed bed anion exchange vessel and a mixed bed.
Veolia supplied one demineralized water treatment package consisting of Activated Carbon Filters, Cation IX Exchangers, Degasifier and Degasified Water Tank, Anion IX Towers, Mixed Bed Exchangers, Cation, Anion and Mixed Bed Regeneration, Neutralization and Backwash Sump Dosing Sets, with associated piping, valves and instrumentation within the skid battery limits.
Each train consists of pre‐assembled, pre‐wired, pre‐piped packages skid mounted with all interconnecting piping and E&CI materials being supplied in spooled welded piping.
The Demineralization plant will provide feed water for boiler generating steam for the whole Wasit Gas Program.
The project expected to be completed in 2014.
